Permission to lease angiographic equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease was granted by the Zhytomyr City Council of the hospital №2 them. VP Павлусенка.
The corresponding decision was made on September 2 by deputies of the city council.
The mayor’s office notes that the equipment was planned to be purchased on the terms of co-financing from the state budget, and UAH 13.5 million was allocated from the local budget for these needs. UAH 11.6 million of the target subvention from the state budget was expected.
However, the state did not provide funds – they decided to purchase equipment centrally.
“The state has decided to centrally purchase such equipment. There is no guarantee that Hospital №2 will receive an angiograph… And without such equipment the institution will not be able to sign some service packages with the National Health Insurance Fund…, ”said Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn.
The financial leasing agreement will be approved at the next session of the Zhytomyr City Council. Deputies also voted for the recommendation to provide funds to repay the loan when forming the community budget for next year.
With the help of an angiograph in hospital №2, physicians will be able to provide medical care to patients with acute myocardial infarction, acute stroke and patients who need surgery on the arteries.
