“NOVA Insurance Co.”: about insurance events with Ukrainian tourists abroad

Center of personal insurance of “NOVA” analyzed information about insurance events with Ukrainian tourists abroad in first half of 2012.

 

As statistics shows, the most overseas tourists complained of upper respiratory tract infection of viral origin (regardless of the season). Second place is a disease of the gastrointestinal tract, hearing and vision. The third position is occupied by the treatment in connection with injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Most often, such cases were recorded at ski resorts. At least there were complaints of allergies.

 

Cases that occurred in summer in Greece, Halkidiki Island are allocated of the total number. One tourist was injured after stepping on a sea urchin. Second was bitten by a jellyfish, as a result he received a severe burn.

 

In the first half of 2012 there were more than 70 insurance cases with tourists travelling abroad fixed in “NOVA”. The victims were provided by all necessary assistance.
