Recently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs met with representatives of state-owned banks – Oschadbank, Privatbank, Ukrgasbank, Ukreximbank, as well as the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance and the State Mortgage Institution to expand the housing program for police officers and rescuers on preferential financial terms.
“We launched this program last year. In that time alone, 1,200 families of police officers and rescuers have already received their own housing, 1,400 have completed all the necessary documents and are waiting for their purchase. By the time of launching this motivational program, the Ministry of Internal Affairs had several times reduced the outflow of young personnel from the police and the SES. Our goal for 2020 is to provide at least 2500-3000 law enforcement families with shelter. It is not only a social project, but a real working program of financing the economy, because most of the apartments were purchased in the primary market, ”said Arsen Avakov, adding that an important component of the program is that the funds for repayment of interest on leasing are invested, as in the budget of the National Police. , and in the SESP budget.
He added that the purpose of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to extend the project of housing under preferential financial leasing to civil servants and military.
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova noted that there were many housing programs in the budget with compensation for renting housing or purchase.
“These programs generally received large sums of money from the state budget, but each such quasi-program and organization alone had scanty funding. Following the example of the National Police and the State Emergency Service, which showed that this program works, we have decided to extend it to other services, in particular we are now working with the New Customs and Tax. The task for the next budget is to concentrate and focus these programs as much as possible, ”said Oksana Markarova.
Representatives of the banking sector reported that the mortgage lending program is an important and interesting project for them, so they are ready to discuss the details with the Ministry of Finance, the state regulator – the National Bank and the State Mortgage Institution.
Recall the terms of participation in the program of housing in preferential financial leasing: Service for at least 2 years, except for participants in the fighting. At least 5 years before retirement. No need to be on the housing register. Leasing term is not more than 20 years. There is an option of early repayment.
