During 2017, the volume of new business amounted to UAH 9.75 billion (excluding the payment for the use of the leased asset) – which is 53% or 3.38 billion more than in 2016.
The growth of the volume of new leased contracts in 2017 reached the majority of the members of the Association. The leaders in terms of growth (%) are Tekom – Leasing (364.2%) and Land – Lease (129.8%).
Companies of the Association continue to increase the existing leasing agreements (portfolio) amount. In 2017, the volume of portfolio of companies participating in the Ukrainian Association of Lessors grew by almost one billion hryvnia, or 9.8% compared to the previous year. Thus, portfolio volumes reached a level of 11.31 billion UAH. The volume of 1 billion USD portfolio of transactions exceeded four members of the UL.
Unlike the new lease agreements, where the majority of companies of the Association members demonstrated significant growth in assets, the total volume of the portfolio of existing leasing agreements changed in a different direction. Land Lease, Tekom-Leasing and OTP Leasing actively increased Portfolio size, while Neos Leasing, Raiffeisen Leasing Aval and ULF-Finance significantly reduced the volume of existing deals.
Vehicles (cars, trucks, LCV) still be a main subject of leasing in Ukraine, comprising more than 70% of all items leased during the year. The volume of leased vehicles in 2017 by the companies-members of the Association amounted to 5871 items, which represents a growth compared with last year by 30%.
The leaders in the number of new vehicles leased are:
- OTP Leasing – 1615 cars, which makes up 27.4% of the total volume of cars sold by the companies – members of the Association.
- “ULF-Finance” – 1,249 vehicles, which is 21.2% of the sample.
- Porsche Leasing Ukraine – 1117 cars, representing 19% of the total volume.
The leader in the field of agricultural machinery leasing in Ukraine was OTP Leasing, which leased 701 units of agricultural equipment for a total of about $ 50 million.
The number of full members of the Association “Ukrainian Union of Lessors” for the year increased by 3 and reached the mark of 16 companies.
