In the first quarter of 2018, companies-members of the Association “Ukrainian Union of Lessors” financed leases by 73% more than in the first quarter of 2017!
+ 1 billion UAH in the volume of new business and + 2 billion UAH in the volume of the portfolio compared with the Q1 2017.
For the Q1 2018 the volume of new business totaled UAH 4.354 billion (without fees for the use of leased assets) – this is two times more than 9 months of 2016 (+103%), 79% up compare with Q1 2017 and 13% more than in Q4 2017.
Leaders by the volume of new business in the reporting period are the following companies:
- OTP-Leasing (UAH 1.496 billion);
- ULF-Finance (UAH 353 million);
- Tecom-Leasing (UAH 241 million).
In terms of growth rates of financing in the first six months of 2017, as compared to the same period last year, they are:
- Ilta-Leasing (+3665%);
- Tecom-Leasing (+123% );
- OTP-Leasing (+92%).
As for March 31 the total portfolio of leasing companies – members of the Ukrainian Union of Lessors amounts to UAH 11.548 billion (without fees for the use of leased assets), which suggests a modest growth growth by 4% (UAH 417 million) since the beginning of 2018. In the same time, it`s 2.014 billion more (+21%) compared with the end of Q1 2017.
Leaders by lease portfolio growth are:
- Ilta-Leasing (+28%);
- Land-Lease (Alfa Leasing trademark) (+20%);
- OTP-Leasing (+12%).
Leaders by lease portfolio amount are:
- OTP-Leasing – UAH 4614 million
- Porsche Leasing -1376 million UAH
- ULF – Finance – UAH 1040 mln
- Raiffeisen Leasing Aval – UAH 940 mln
- Tekom – Leasing – UAH 887 million
- Avis – Ukraine – UAH 843 mln.
Most of the leasing deals concluded in the first quarter of 2018 included financing of motor transport and agricultural machinery.
Thereby, for the first 3 months of 2018, leasing companies – members of the association financed 1,426 new passenger cars. Thus, 7.7% of the all new passenger cars sold in Ukraine during Q1 (19287 cars) were leased.
In addition, more and more popular leasing of used cars – more than 500 used cars were leased by the Association members.
Of the 76 leased new tractors the most popular were Case 16, New Holland and Belarus by 13). In total in the first quarter were leased 222 items of agricultural equipment.
