On February 21, 2020, the Association “Ukrainian Uniaon of\nLessors” in partnership with the Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry\nheld an educational event on the topic: “How to get leasing financing to\nsmall and medium-sized businesses in Lviv region”. The\nevent was part of a grant awarded by the USAID Financial Sector Transformation\nProject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was attended by more than 50 representatives of the Lviv\nregion’s business, officials of the Lviv regional state administration, as well\nas heads of leading leasing companies in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues related to leasing of\nvarious machinery and equipment, benefits of leasing, its advantage over credit\nand more. Representatives of the Lviv Regional State\nAdministration told participants of the event about the program of compensation\nof leasing payments for farmers. At the moment, UAH 5 million has been\nallocated for the program. and it has already been used by many leasing\nrecipient farmers in the past and current year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Extremely interesting was the participation in the event by Anna\nTemchyshyn, head of Agrothem farm, who spoke about her experience in leasing\nbusiness development. Ms Anna urged all those in\nattendance to make extensive use of leasing services, demonstrating that they\nwere indeed profitable. FG Agrotem not only purchased unused collateral\n(which would be impossible in the case of a loan), but also received a tax\ncredit for the entire lease term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On behalf of the organizer, the Ukrainian Union of Lessors was\naddressed by Marina Masich, who in particular informed the audience that the\nUkrainian leasing market is constantly growing. The\nprerequisite for this is the stability of economic development in the country\nand the growing demand for leasing services to modernize production. In\naddition, the participants of the organized market are making considerable\nefforts to create new leasing products and flexible pricing, in order to\nincrease the accessibility of this financial service for small and medium-sized\nbusinesses in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leasing market and the Association were practitioners – leading\nexperts in the field of financing, representatives of companies Tecom Leasing,\nULF-Finance, BEST Leasing, Alfa-Leasing, IC Ingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On behalf of the bank leasing, a representative of Ukrgasbank spoke\nabout the bank’s leasing services for municipalities and ATGs. And also – I will buy interactive boards for Lviv\nschools. Such boards are currently in every Lviv school and are a clear\nexample of the leasing of new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the seminar, its participants had the opportunity to\ncommunicate informally with officials and representatives of leading leasing\ncompanies of Ukraine at the buffet table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And at the mini-fair, the lessors offered their new products and\ntechnologies to the entrepreneurs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
