The NBU has launched a register of non-bank financial institutions

The National Bank has launched a Comprehensive Information System on its website, which downloads the registers of financial institutions received from the previous regulator Natskomfinposlug.

“As part of the completion of the adoption of non-banking financial services market regulation functions, the National Bank opened a Comprehensive Information System on its official website, which uploaded the registers of financial institutions adopted from the previous regulator the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets.

CIS NBU allows market participants and external users to search for information about the financial institution in the State Register of Financial Institutions and information from the Register of persons who are not financial institutions, but have the right to provide certain financial services online, “- said in a statement.

KIS NBU is posted on the NBU website at the link:  https://kis.bank.gov.ua . Access for authorized users of the system to work with the State Register of Financial Institutions has been transferred to the new system of the National Bank.

The NBU system is intended only for maintaining registers of financial institutions, and the reporting of market participants will be submitted through the NBU web portal.

According to the Law of September 12, 2019 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving the Functions of State Regulation of Financial Services Markets”, the NBU and NSSMC from July 1, 2020 are the successors of the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets.

In particular, the National Bank will become a regulator of insurance, leasing, financial companies, credit unions, pawnshops and credit bureaus instead of Natskomfinposlug.
